If you are nursing, you will want to make sure your diet is balanced with the right amount of whole grains, vegetables, dairy, and protein foods, since your baby will be getting all of its nutrition from you. Many lactation specialists and even your child's pediatrician can help you determine which foods you should eat. 5. Team Up With Other New Moms: It's easy to get discouraged from exercising, but it's important to keep up the good work once you start. Check with your local health centers, hospitals, and other organizations in your area that might have support groups for new moms or even "Baby & Me" fitness classes. The adult interaction, as well as knowing there are other moms going through everything you are, can be a great way to adjust to being a new mom.
Getting back in shape after having a baby is possible - and often after doing these things listed above you will start noticing you can start pulling out your old clothes in just 3-6 weeks.
